What's in my bag?

There's something delightfully strange about looking at 'what's in my bag' posts. Who knew how fascinating it was and who knew I was such a nosy, nosy person. Anyway here is what's in my humble no name bag. I have literally just emptied my uni bag and just arranged stuff to make it more presentable. Everything here, albeit a few receipts, some chocolate wrappers and tissue (which I all conveniently removed in an attempt to look slightly more organised), is what I carry to uni. Yes, I surprised myself too.

 Firstly the bag.

I adore this bag. It's a beautiful deep plum colour and is from Red Herring (at least that's what the label says) in Debenhams. I bought it sometime before summer I think and I couldn't find it online, but it may still be in store.
It doesn't carry much in the big pocket, so everything has to be put in strategically. But in the smaller one, chaos reigns!

Colourful Union Jack folder: I am drawn to bright things. All my uni stuff i.e. lecture notes/presentations are in here.

Purple Filofax: In an attempt to structure my time, know what work am meant to do and when. Progress? Epic fail. Hopefully (promise!) starting tomorrow I'm actually going to do the work written in there.

Uni card: You need these things. You know, for the library and all that. It's in a purple neck thingy, I was so excited when I got it since my college never had them. The excitement wore off after a coupla days.

Pens and some papers: I like blue instead of black pens and like a typical girl I like to underline etc. with a dark pink (if you by any chance cared!). I had this amazing pen with FOUR different colours. Two on one end and two on the other, so it comes out both ends. There was purple and pink on one side and light blue and green on the other. Isn't that AWESOME? No? Okay.
Sadly, I lost it a few days ago. Yes, it's okay to be kinda upset over losing a pen right?

Ah, this is where things start to get a tad unusual.
Phone:  A Sony Ericsson one that I've had for donkeys years. There's a long story attached to this phone, because believe it or not, I am on my third one, of the same phone.
Lip stuff: I generally throw stuff into the small pocket of the bag and then forget what I put in there. This is why I have two lipsticks, two lipbalms and a lipgloss. Lipsticks are No.17 lasting fix lipstick in Toffee Waffle and No. 7 lipstick in Showy which was in my September favourites. Lipgloss is Topshop Glaze in Laid back (amazing smell!) and an EOS lipbalm (err don't fall for the hype?) and Carmex.
Soap and Glory Handfood: I can't go out without this. Simples.
H&M Exotic Guava bodysplash: Once upon a time I used love this because it reminded me of a holiday I went to couple years ago. Then H&M changed the smell and packaging.
Stuff: Two highlighters, two sticky notes (I just realised that they used to be in a pack, I have no idea where that went). A random badge that says 'Stupid factory, where boys are made', I honestly don't know why this is there. A lone bobby pin, I wear a headscarf, I am generally not in need of bobby pins when I am outside. A glue stick-I do English Language-I have never needed glue, and the latest ring I was wearing. I always tend to take my rings off towards the end of the day and put them in my bag.

And lastly:

My purse: I don't know where it's from- I swapped with my friend who liked my purse- but it's chunky and has a snakeskin design.
Keys: With my memory stick, compass and a key chain.
Card: From a charity organisation, it has a cool effect when you move it. Again, I am easily amused.
Tin: This awesome thing came with Bodyform, it says on the back 'Caress me, but don't mess up my hair. I'm VANITY in person.' By the way, this is where I keep my pads-a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do (I've always wanted to say that!). Never ever leave the house without a pad/tampon or whatever, in your bag, from experience, it ain't pretty.
More stuff: A DKNY Be Delicious Eau De Toilette sample. It smell lovely. Stickers, for when I was going on holiday and stuck them all over my suitcase cause I'am cool like that. I didn't know what to do with the rest, so they have a permanent residence in my bag and finally, a WHSmith 20% card thing.

So, that concludes my post-what's in your bag? Really I'd like to know (evil smile).
Thanks for reading! Adios! Hasta luego!!

Pretty things make me happy

1. Purple Filofax:

Wonderful reader, I gave up resisting but I compromised (with...myself?) so all is not lost J. You may or may not have read my previous post, but I wanted to get a Filofax yet didn't want to waste money.
So yea... I got one.
Instead of the £27 one however, I got an AH-mazing purple one for 16 quid. I can't believe I overlooked this little gem! See the elastic band? It reminds of this movie trailer with a soldier who get's injured I think and forgets who he is and all he's got left is this little black book stuffed with letters and pictures. Ever since then I wanted something that looks like it stores all the memories and letters and everything. Obviously this is an organiser but it looks like that.

2. My gorgeous boots:

I used to be a trainers, Converses and the occasional sandals kinda girl. But these few years, I have become obsessed with boots (and lipsticks J) but had yet to find boots that ticked all the boxes for me. Until...a few days ago.
New Look have opened a clearance store in town, so I had to take a little nosey around and saw these boots but I didn't find them all that. Then a couple of days ago, I saw them again and randomly decided to try them on. It was love at first (2nd?) sight!
They are warm, have that awesome biker look and at the same time look like builders shoes so I can stomp, stomp around. Oh, and they have a good grip. Seriously, last winter I had some ankle boots that had no grip whatsoever. It snowed and snow turns to deadly, treacherous ice. Let's just say, I went back to my trainers.
Anyway, they cost a measly 15 quid! The original price sticker said £69.99, which was then reduced to £30. But aaahhhh!!! Isn't it just WONDERFUL?
 God I love them!
3. Lipsticks!

I got some new lipsticks! *cue girlish excitement* (from left to right):
Rimmel lipstick by Kate Moss in 05
Revlon Colourburst in 075 Peach
Topshop Lipstick in Confessions
No7 Wild Volume lipstick in 15 Forever Cherry (you can see where I spend my Boots No.7 £5 off vouchers right?)
And finally another Rimmel lipstick by Kate Moss in 12.

Thanks for reading! So, what little things made you happy??
Adios, hasta luego!

Tired Thoughts

Knackered does not cover it! I am beyond tired and ache all over. The sad part? It wasn't because of exercise or something. No. Yours truly had a full day at uni. I am emotionally drained. Let me tell you my lovely reader, I had three lectures in a row, then a break and then two more classes. It’s taking me way too long to get into a routine! Being off uni for like four months, I may have forgotten everything. Literally. Anyway! Moving on!

I have now come to the conclusion that I am very, very bad with money. Especially lots of money- like my student grant. I feel a bit sick every time I think of the money I have spent, what I need and how much is left. I have tried and tried to ‘save’ and ‘economise’ but I see something pretty and bam all the steely resolution I had built up is gone and I am going home with a lovely feeling in my heart but having an ‘omigod’ panic attack in my head.

Another thing, I have forgotten how to structure my time! That’s not good, especially in uni-not good at. All. Previously I thought I was an organised person who (generally) did everything the teacher asked. No more, I have lost all my skills (if you can call it that)!
On a side note, I have come to the conclusion that to structure my time, I need a Filofax, preferably a really cute green one, that I saw in WhSmiths, with flowery kinda designs and a hefty price tag of £27. Life can suck sometimes.

September Favourites!!

  Hola Mi beauties!
September’s come and gone and strangely I am glad! I can’t believe am saying this but wow! Four months holiday is long! I was actually looking forward to uni! Anyhow! Here are some of the things I’ve been loving! EnjoyJ!

On the left is No7 Sheer Temptation lipstick in Showy. It's a glossy pink that I adore! On the right is an E.LF Mineral lipstick in barely bitten. A an 'almost' red. It has lots of gold shimmer so it looks a bit orange.

I have heard soo much about this I couldn't resist buying it in the 3 for 2 in Boots (which is still going on by the way!). It has a nice scent and I love how it makes my hair feel and look. You're probably aware of the fame surrounding it so I shall move on rapidly!

Benefit High Beam is 'ze bomb'. It makes my face look porcelain and just wonderful. However you do need to blend it in well and a little goes a long way, especially if you're of a darker complexion as it can look strange!
E.LF cream eyeliner in Black; Like the name suggests, its really creamy and soft and unlike a gel eyeliner it doesn't feel watery and cold and...I just don't like gel liners very much. I would have shown you the inside but it looks like a mess, so I thought I'd spare you!
It lasts for some time and it sticks amazingly. If you cry or something, it won't melt down you're face.
Barry M nail varnish: Firstly I love these full stop! But this colour (306 Blueberry l/c) reminds me of the sky in summer. It's a pastel blue and will probably come up in a nail of the day!

And last but not least, the Soap and Glory Hand food (which can be found in Boots) and Carmex. The smell of the hand cream is stunning! I reapply like no man's business. It also quite strong, i.e people can smell it if you put it on. But seriously, next time you're in Boots go and have sniff!

So that concludes my faves, I wasn't wearing much makeup to be honest. Hope you enjoyed and what have you been loving??
